Are the Canadian versions of Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+, Max, and Netflix filtered?
Streaming services have country-specific URLs for streaming movies and TV shows. Our filter team operates exclusively within the United States, limiting our access and filtering to movies and TV shows only available in the United States.
Some movies and TV shows available in Canada on platforms such as Amazon's Prime Video (rent/purchase), Amazon Prime (subscription required), Apple TV+, Disney+, Max, and Netflix may be filtered, as their URLs may match those used in the United States.
Additionally, streaming services in Canada may offer content that is not accessible in the United States. For instance, STAR on Disney+ is available in every country worldwide except the United States.

Will Clearplay work in my country if I add a U.S. phone number (xxx-xxx-xxxx) and a U.S. billing address to my account?
Filters are unlikely to work even with a U.S. billing address, a U.S. phone number, and a VPN to access content from the U.S. versions of Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+, Max, and Netflix.

Will Clearplay work in my country if I get signed up and use a VPN?
Our filter team does not test our filters while using a VPN. We highly advise that you use a VPN at your discretion and risk.
Additionally, we cannot provide technical support or refunds for any complications that may arise from using our filters outside the United States with or without a VPN. Our filters are intended to work only within the United States without using a VPN.

When will Clearplay expand beyond the United States?
At this time, we do not plan to expand to additional countries. Clearplay agents in the email team, social media team, and call center learn about announcements simultaneously with the general public when they are posted on our social media.
