# Why did the Filter Settings load, but Then Show "No Filtering Options Yet"?

On [web.clearplay.com](http://web.clearplay.com), movies on the Amazon tab are only guaranteed to be filtered if you **rent or purchase** them through the **Prime Video Store**.

[Amazon.com](https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/movie?ref_=atv_hm_hom_c_9zZ8D2_hom) is a hub for multiple separate streaming platforms. The **Prime Video Store**, **Amazon Prime**, and the **Channels** for Amazon Prime are treated as separate platforms. Because of that, a movie that is filtered for the **Prime Video Store** may not yet be filtered for **Amazon Prime** or a **Channel** platform.

This is why the Clearplay extension may load filter settings on the movie details page, yet the extension says "No Filtering Options Yet" after playback begins. The movie details page contains the rent and purchase options for the movie that has already been filtered. If the movie is played through **Amazon Prime** or a **Channel** platform that does not yet have a filter, the extension will display "No Filtering Options Yet" after you start playing the movie.

**Why This Happens**

Clearplay filters are created separately for each streaming service. For example, if a movie is available on both Amazon and Netflix, the filter created for Amazon can't apply to Netflix.

The same principle applies within Amazon. Amazon treats the **Prime Video Store**, **Amazon Prime**, and the **Channels** for Amazon Prime as separate platforms.

Each movie is assigned a platform-specific ASIN ([Amazon Standard Identification Number](https://sell.amazon.com/blog/how-to-create-a-new-asin-amazon)). We link filters to the movie’s ASIN rather than the movie’s title because multiple movies can share the same name.

As a result, a filter created for a movie on one Amazon platform will not link to the same movie on another Amazon platform. For example, a filter created for a movie available for rent and purchase through the **Prime Video Store** can’t link to the same movie available for **Amazon Prime** subscribers or one of the **Channels** for Amazon Prime.

**Supported Amazon Platforms**

We filter the following Amazon platforms:

- **Prime Video Store** (Amazon’s **rent and purchase** streaming platform)
- **Amazon Prime** ([$4.99 **Ultra** ad-free subscription required](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/supported-subscriptions))
- The **Apple TV Channel** for Amazon Prime
- The **HBO Max Channel** for Amazon Prime ([ad-free subscription required](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/supported-subscriptions))
- The **Paramount+ Channel** for Amazon Prime ([ad-free subscription required](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/supported-subscriptions))

**Why We Didn't Know the Movie Was Available on Amazon Prime**

Because Amazon has not chosen to partner with us, Amazon does not send us notifications when movies are added to **Amazon Prime** or the **Channels** for Amazon Prime.

Instead, the filter team relies on publicly available information to identify movies that have been added to subscription platforms.

This means a movie may already be filtered for the **Prime Video Store** before the filter team becomes aware that Amazon has also made it available to **Amazon Prime** or **Channel** platforms.

**Why web.clearplay.com Doesn’t List Prime or Channel Movies**

On [web.clearplay.com](http://web.clearplay.com), movies on the Amazon tab are only guaranteed to be filtered if you rent or purchase them through the **Prime Video Store**.

**Amazon Has Not Chosen to Partner With Clearplay**

Amazon has not chosen to partner with Clearplay, so we do not receive notifications when movies are added to **Amazon Prime** or the **Channels** for Amazon Prime.

Amazon also does not allow third parties to scan its website in the way we would need to automatically determine whether a movie is available through **Amazon Prime** or one of the **Channels** for Amazon Prime.

**How We Identify Amazon Prime and Channel Movies**

Because Amazon does not provide movie list information directly, the filter team relies on publicly available information and customer reports to identify movies that have been added to Amazon's subscription platforms.

This process is largely manual.

**Why a Movie May Not Be Listed for Amazon Prime**

A movie may already be filtered for the **Prime Video Store** before the filter team becomes aware that Amazon has also made the movie available to **Amazon Prime** or **Channel** subscribers.

Because Amazon has not provided Clearplay with a way to automatically identify movies added to its subscription platforms, we cannot maintain a complete **Amazon Prime** or **Channel** availability section on [web.clearplay.com](http://web.clearplay.com).

**How to Get a Filter for Your Amazon Subscription Platform**

Because we have already filtered the movie for the **Prime Video Store**, loading the movie page as an **Amazon Prime** or **Channel** subscriber will not prompt you to request a filter.

To request a filter for your platform:

1. Start playing the movie.
2. Pause the movie.
3. Click the Clearplay extension icon in Chrome.
4. Submit a filter request.

Requests are only tracked when you use the filter request prompt. See: [How Can I Make a Filter Request?](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/how-can-i-make-a-filter-request)

Requests are not an on-demand system. We prioritize requests based on demand and feasibility.
