Use Chrome only; other Chromium browsers are not supported. ![Google Chrome logo](https://cdn.document360.io/6794d4f9-4a95-4ff9-bd48-adbe1f7f149d/Images/Documentation/image(3).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-08T16%3A25%3A31Z&se=2026-11-08T17%3A25%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=wOrgF9UnJWJvKb1vhXLbohPTHKiXiBONblv2RllikVg%3D) **Why Do We Recommend Chrome?** Clearplay filtering skips and mutes content in real time as a movie or TV show plays. Accurate timing is essential, and our filters are built around Chrome’s timing. In other browsers, skips and mutes may trigger too early or too late, making filtering unreliable. **How Do I Install Chrome?** Visit the [Google Chrome download page](https://www.google.com/chrome/what-you-make-of-it/) and follow the installation instructions for your computer. **What About Other Browsers?** You *can* install the Clearplay extension on browsers like Brave, Edge, Opera, and Tusk. But we don’t test or support those browsers, and filters often misfire in them. If you’re having issues with filters in one of these browsers, test the same title in Google Chrome. If the issue doesn’t happen in Chrome, our support team can’t troubleshoot the problem. If the issue does happen in Chrome, email us at [care@clearplay.com](mailto:care@clearplay.com), and we’ll help from there. **Why Isn’t My Browser Supported?** The Clearplay extension can be installed in other Chromium browsers, but Google Chrome is the only browser we support. We cannot troubleshoot filtering issues in other browsers, including mutes or skips that trigger at the wrong time and status messages such as “No Filtering Options Yet” or “Problem Detected.” If you see either status message while using Google Chrome, please read the corresponding article: [“Problem Detected!” Status Message](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/change-in-show-detected) [“No Filtering Options Yet” Status Message](https://help.clearplay.com/docs/why-no-filtering-options-yet-shows-on-amazon-prime-or-channels)
